Picking Out Your Perfect Wedding Day

Picking A Wedding Date

So now that you and your significant other have gotten engaged, what is next? Settling on a date for the Wedding, of course!

Picking the right Wedding date

You need to figure out what Wedding date is right for you. Are you going to add a romantic spin on it such as when you both had first met? Something significant like an anniversary date or a grandfather’s birthday? (We generally don’t recommend in combining events…too much hassle and it steals people’s thunder.) Or are you going to try to pick a date that is most convenient when your chosen guests are available?

Picking a time

Picking a time is very important. Morning? Afternoon? Night? Evening? If it’s during a typical work day and everyone works until the evening, you may want to schedule a evening event. For example, take into account that it’s Arizona; if you have a Wedding during Summer, I would recommend not during Noon-time. It also depends on your Wedding day schedule. For example, if you are planning to have a hair dresser come in and your Wedding is in the morning, it’s going to be hard to find a hair dresser that is available for scheduling at 7AM.

Wedding dates to avoid

As stated earlier, try not to land your Wedding date on anything else significant, which would take the focus away from your special day. Try not to coincide it with a birthday, overly social holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Seasonal area like weather

When picking out a Wedding date, also remember the weather around the area. The same reason why nobody has a outdoors Wedding in Wisconsin in December is the same reason why people rarely have outdoor Weddings during the Summer day in Arizona. Even if you’re holding a indoor event, account for those that are traveling/commuting.

Seasonal flowers

If you are having an outdoor Wedding or having a large floral arrangement, take in account what flowers you will be placing. You may be having your Wedding Planner or caterer setting up scenery or stations, certain flowers are only available during certain times of the year. If those flowers are your preference then it would be inconvenient to have your Wedding during a time of year when they wouldn’t be available.

Now, most importantly…try not to get too stressed out. It’s going to be one of the most important dates in your life. Have fun going through it!
